On September 14, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) said that in the last months of the year, the trade union will continue to implement the task of "Developing union members, participating in building a clean and strong Party".
From the beginning of the year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has developed a plan and assigned specific targets to each unit. In the first 6 months of 2025, the whole province has newly established 37 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) and developed 5,036 more union members.
Of which, Binh Dinh (old) has 25 new grassroots unions, admitting 4,227 union members; Gia Lai (old) has 12 new grassroots unions, admitting 1,079 union members.
According to the Provincial Federation of Labor, the current key task is to consolidate and perfect the Commune and Ward Trade Unions; thereby expanding the development of union members, establishing trade union organizations in non-state enterprises, and moving towards building Party organizations in these units.
Commune and ward trade unions will take on new roles with great responsibilities such as: directly managing union members and grassroots trade unions in neighboring localities and areas; propagating labor laws; supervising the implementation of labor contracts; supporting informal labor.
In addition, the Commune and Ward Trade Unions also directly mediate disputes, reduce complicated complaints right from the grassroots level, and connect workers through cultural, sports and care activities.
