The Provincial Party Trade Union and the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Trade Union have just announced the decision to dissolve 52 affiliated grassroots trade unions, officially ending operations from June 14, 2025. These units are mainly administrative units, public service units receiving 100% of their salaries from the state budget.
According to the provisions of Decree 60/2021/ND-CP of the Government, public service units with a self-guarantee level of regular expenditure of less than 10% will have to dissolve grassroots trade unions. This is to concretize the policy of streamlining the apparatus, improving operational efficiency and building a strong and practical Trade Union organization.
The Executive Committees of the dissolved Trade Unions are responsible for handing over all seals, finances, accounting documents and related documents to superiors according to regulations.
The leaders of the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor assessed that in recent times, the Trade Unions of the administrative sector and public service units have made many efforts in caring for the lives and protecting the rights of more than 5,000 union members, civil servants, public employees and workers; at the same time, actively responding to emulation movements, contributing to building increasingly stable and developed agencies and units.
