Previously, at the end of June 2026, the Can Tho City Labor Federation issued a document sent to grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) directly under it to focus on preventing and combating online gambling.
According to feedback from units, many union members and workers, due to the psychology of wanting to try their luck or lack of understanding, have fallen into forms such as "exploding jars", "over/under", sports betting...
This situation not only causes financial damage, debt and black credit, but also seriously affects family life, mental health, labor productivity and security and order at enterprises.

Immediately after receiving the direction, grassroots trade unions in Can Tho City have implemented many practical solutions. The content of online gambling prevention and control is effectively integrated into trade union meetings and through internal communication channels.
Along with that, the team of trade union officials and propagandists has well promoted their role in grasping public opinion, promptly reminding and mobilizing union members to remove game apps, staying away from cyber traps.
On September 20, information from the Can Tho City Labor Federation, a recent report from grassroots trade unions showed that the awareness of workers has clearly improved, the situation of participating in "exploding jar" games has decreased significantly, contributing to stabilizing labor relations in industrial parks.
According to the Can Tho City Labor Federation, this is a welcome sign.
However, before the complicated developments in cyberspace, the Can Tho City Labor Federation believes that it does not rule out the possibility that forms will be distorted under new methods.
Therefore, in the coming time, the Can Tho City Trade Union will continue to maintain and promote information and propaganda work; and at the same time encourage union members to actively participate in healthy cultural and sports activities to improve spiritual life and build a safe and civilized working environment.

The Can Tho City Labor Federation calls on all union members and workers to raise their vigilance, use the Internet and social networks safely, civilizedly, responsibly and in accordance with the law.
Each union member and worker should proactively protect personal information, identify and prevent acts and tricks of fraud in cyberspace; do not share or disseminate unverified information, and at the same time actively spread official information with positive values, contributing to building a safe, healthy, civilized network environment, suitable for standards of behavior in the digital age.
