Improving training quality
The solution was implemented with all the passion of author Tran Thanh Tu and colleagues Le Thanh Tuyen, Cao Thi Hong Tho, Tran Thanh Tung, Nguyen Van Phanh. Accordingly, based on the need to serve vocational training at the unit, the group of authors came up with ideas, realized solutions and constantly improved to effectively apply them in practice.
Sharing with Lao Dong, Mr. Tran Thanh Tu - Lecturer at Can Tho Vocational College - said that the solution was conceived and implemented 3 years ago, to meet teaching needs, creating conditions for students to directly observe, learn and practice; at the same time responding to the school's research movement.
"With the support and facilitation of the school's leaders, the grassroots Trade Union and more importantly, the determination and efforts of the whole group, we have almost no difficulties. It has been nearly 3 years since the implementation, we have used the solution to both train and constantly improve continuously, to be able to perfect it as it is today" - Mr. Tu shared.
In particular, the group of authors relied on the principle diagram of a refrigeration system using a layered cycle (recognized and applied in practice) to successfully design and construct a complete model with practical operation capability and suitable for the training environment at Can Tho Vocational College.
Along with the solution, Mr. Tu and his colleagues have compiled 11 exercises in the direction of self- control. Thereby, creating a foundation for the development of practical exercises, questions to test knowledge and assess skills on the model, supporting students to study flexibly and self-lock anytime, anywhere.
motivation for new initiatives
With the success of the solution, for the first time, Can Tho Vocational College has a cold storage model using a layered assembly cycle designed and manufactured to serve vocational training. The compact, safe, easy-to-use design of the model is not only suitable for teaching but also has the ability to replace imported training equipment with many times lower costs, at the same time, easily replicated for other training facilities.
The practical results have helped the solution win the First Prize at the Can Tho City Self-made Training Equipment Competition in 2024 and was honored to receive the Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. This is both a source of pride and motivation for the group of authors to continue promoting creativity, benefiting the unit in the future.
The first time receiving the Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, we are very happy and proud that our contributions have been recognized by society. Participating in the 2025 Creative Labor Festival, visiting booths and meeting other typical examples has helped us make a more impressive impression of the emulation movement of the Trade Union" - Mr. Tu confided.
According to the Can Tho City Labor Federation, after the merger, the Trade Union organization is required to improve the organizational apparatus and unify the methods of operation to meet the requirements in the new situation. In response to that requirement, one of the tasks set by the City Trade Union in the remaining months of 2025 is to promote the launch of emulation movements, creating motivation to encourage union members and workers to improve product quality, and work with businesses to develop sustainable production. At the same time, continue to maintain and improve the effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the emulation of "Good workers, Creative workers".
