The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued the City's Labor Safety and Hygiene Plan for the last months of 2025.

The common goal is to raise awareness and responsibility of agencies, organizations, enterprises, and workers towards occupational safety and hygiene, considering this a regular, long-term task, of great significance in socio-economic development, contributing to the sustainable development of enterprises and the country in the new situation.

The city aims for 100% of production and business establishments at high risk of occupational safety and hygiene, developing and organizing the implementation of occupational safety and hygiene plans and implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene, disease prevention and control.

Every year, the frequency of fatal labor accidents in the area has decreased by an average of 5%, especially in industries and fields with a high risk of labor accidents such as construction, mechanics, construction material production, power grid operation, non-structional labor, craft villages, etc.

Over 50% of workers working at work-related facilities at high risk of occupational diseases in industrial parks and industrial clusters are instructed on examination, detection and treatment of occupational diseases; over 50% of workers at high risk of occupational diseases are instructed on monitoring the working environment.

At the same time, reduce the number of new occupational diseases by 15%; ensure that over 50% of workers working at facilities at risk of occupational diseases are examined, detected and treated for occupational diseases...

To achieve the set goals, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Home Affairs to deploy and disseminate instructions to units to implement a number of articles of the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene on compulsory occupational accident and disease insurance; working hours, rest hours; increase the dissemination of regulations on voluntary occupational accident insurance for employees working without contracts...

The Department of Home Affairs also strengthens inspection of the implementation of occupational safety and hygiene at enterprises, production and business establishments, cooperative models, small and medium enterprises, agricultural and forestry production establishments and rural industries in the area. Special attention should be paid to inspection of production and business establishments with many risks of causing unsafe labor and individual housing construction and construction works.

Thereby, promptly handling or proposing to the City People's Committee a handling plan for collectives and individuals who violate occupational safety and hygiene, leading to occupational accidents in the area.
