In order to ensure that union members and employees have a warm and complete Tet holiday, the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor is preparing to organize many activities to take care of union members and employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Priority will be given to employees in especially difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses, occupational accidents, affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, and employees who stay at their units and enterprises to work and produce.
Accordingly, from January 10 to January 12, 2025, the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor will organize the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market in conjunction with the program Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang. At the program, it is expected that there will be 35 booths selling essential products at discounts of 15% or more, giving away 3,000 discount vouchers (each voucher is worth 100,000 VND).
500 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) will be given to union members and workers who are still in difficult circumstances and have low incomes. 500 union members and workers far from home will be supported with train and bus fares to return home for Tet. At the same time, the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor also mobilized social resources to organize a "Zero-VND Store" to distribute 2,000 shopping vouchers, each worth 200,000 VND, to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
In addition, the program also organizes sports games (tug of war, sack jumping), lucky draw, "Singing for workers - Listening to workers sing" contest, Reunion dance, Tet space display contest, free haircuts, free legal advice and experiential activities at the Tet market space.
According to Mr. Hoang Trong Hien - Deputy Head of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation, along with organizing care for union members and workers, the Provincial Labor Federation assigned trade unions at all levels to participate in and closely inspect the implementation of policies for union members and workers during Tet.
The Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor also requested that grassroots unions proactively publicize salary and bonus payment plans at least 30 days before Tet holidays, supervise the implementation of salary and bonus payment, working conditions, working hours, rest time, overtime, and ensure adequate benefits for union members and employees working overtime during Tet.
Grassroots unions must promptly report to higher-level unions if enterprises are facing difficulties in production and business, enterprises are dissolved and bankrupt, business owners have absconded, or have not paid or cannot pay salaries and bonuses to union members and employees before Tet.
