Vietnam General Confederation of Labor seeks opinions on proposed list of 95 outstanding workers who are party members

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will hold a national conference to honor 95 outstanding workers who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

To practically celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has issued a Plan to organize a National Conference to honor exemplary workers who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam (Conference).

According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the purpose of the Conference is to recognize and honor outstanding workers in all types of enterprises who are Party members, have many achievements in labor and production, and contribute to Party building, building strong grassroots trade union organizations, especially the development of Party members who are workers in enterprises.

The conference is an opportunity for party members and workers to exchange and share experiences in the process of cultivating, training and striving to become exemplary party members and workers; encourage workers to strive to become party members; raise awareness and pride of union members when they are honored to stand in the ranks of the Party; and at the same time affirm the responsibility of the Vietnam Trade Union in participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system.

Through the conference, promote the attention of Party committees and organizations at all levels in leading and directing the workers' movement and trade union activities, especially the work of developing Party members who are workers; strengthen the close relationship between the Party and the working class, create motivation for union members to continue to strive, confidently move forward under the Party's flag, and contribute to building the homeland and country to become increasingly rich, civilized and modern.

In order to have a basis to propose the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to honor exemplary workers who are Party members at the Conference, the Selection Council of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor posted a list of 95 expected exemplary workers who are Party members to be honored at the Conference for public comment.
