In the first 6 months of 2025, Hai Phong Trade Unions at all levels established 110/114 grassroots trade unions, reaching 96% of the annual plan, developing 27,838 new union members, actually increasing 14,751 union members. In Workers' Month alone, units have developed 38 new grassroots unions and grassroots unions with 15,395 union members.
During Workers' Month, the City Labor Federation presented more than 2,600 gifts and special subsidies; supported the construction and repair of 36 Trade Union Shelters for union members and employees in difficult circumstances with a value of more than 3.3 billion VND from the trade union budget and the Trade Union Shelter Fund of the City Labor Federation. The Fund for Poor Workers has deployed 10 emergency loan packages via the Huong Cong App, signed cooperation agreements with 8 units, disbursed loans to union members with a total amount of 106.2 million VND, and provided support to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances to borrow capital with a total amount of 20.4 million VND.
The units organized 26 health care sessions for more than 5,000 female union members and employees in the city, organized 3 health care skills training sessions for nearly 600 union members; signed a cooperation agreement on professional eye care, free eye screening with Hanoi Eye Hospital - Hai Phong.
The city's Trade Unions at all levels organized more than 3,000 cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities during Workers' Month, attracting more than 350,000 participants; organized activities to thank workers with more than 3,600 participants. All activities have high educational and practical significance, creating cohesion, solidarity, and enhancing the position of the trade union organization.
On the occasion of the Labor Safety and Hygiene Month 2025, the city's trade unions at all levels organized 34 training courses and disseminated on occupational safety and hygiene and fire prevention for more than 7,100 employees to participate.
At the conference, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation commended 31 collectives with outstanding achievements in Workers' Month 2025.
