Gia Lai - Gathering in front of the company gate 4 times to demand rights, dozens of workers of Phuc Thinh Binh Dinh Company Limited have not yet received their salaries and benefits.

On August 31, a representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) said that they had coordinated with the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to work with Phuc Thinh Binh Dinh Company Limited (headquartered in Nhon Hoa Industrial Park, An Nhon Nam Ward) to clarify the situation of unpaid wages and benefits for 130 workers.

"However, on the afternoon of August 27, when the working group arrived, the company gate was closed, and the director was absent. At the same time, about 60 workers were gathering in front of the company gate to request payment of salaries and benefits," said a representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor.

According to the representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor, to protect the legitimate rights of workers, the unit will continue to provide legal support, guide workers to file lawsuits, and at the same time recommend that competent authorities supervise and prevent the dispersation of assets.

"Currently, about 50 workers have filed a lawsuit against Phuc Thinh Binh Dinh Company Limited, with Mr. Nguyen Van An (born in 1971) as Director," said a representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ai (born in 1991, residing in An Nhon Nam ward) - Head of the Inspection Team of Phuc Thinh Binh Dinh Company Limited - said that the afternoon of August 27 was the 4th time workers gathered in front of the gate to claim their rights, but so far they have not been paid their salaries, benefits or received satisfactory replies from the director.

"My wife and I have 4 children, of which 3 are about to enter the new school year. Many months of unpaid wages have exhausted the family's economy, forcing them to run around everywhere to worry about food and tuition. The company also did not pay or close the social insurance book, making it difficult for me to find a new job.

I went to the People's Court of Region 2 - Gia Lai (headquartered in Tuy Phuoc Commune) to file a lawsuit against the company. We hope the authorities will soon intervene to recover the money from the workers' efforts," Ms. Ai said indignantly.

As Lao Dong has reported, in recent months, more than 100 workers at Phuc Thinh Binh Dinh Company Limited, along with a number of households, have received product contracts and enterprises that are in difficulty because the company owes wages, social insurance, and processing fees for orders up to more than 7 billion VND, and have suddenly stopped production since July 31.

A representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor said that according to initial statistics, Phuc Thinh Binh Dinh Company Limited owes 130 employees wages, with an amount of more than 2.3 billion VND; owes households more than 2.5 billion VND in processing allowances and owes Tan Dat General Trading and Service Company Limited more than 2.3 billion VND. The total debt is more than 7.1 billion VND.

Phuc Thinh Binh Dinh Company Limited has deducted the employee's insurance payment but did not pay it to the Social Insurance agency, causing the employee to quit his job and not receive unemployment insurance; the health insurance card is locked, and the medical examination and treatment costs are not paid. The company also did not pay the Union fund, did not sign labor contracts with more than 100 workers and has not paid salaries since April 2025.
