At noon on August 3 (Vietnam time), a 7.0-magnitude earthquake of richter shook the area 121km east of the town of Severo- Kurilsk, north of Kuril Island.
Russian authorities have warned that a 19cm high Tsunami could affect part of Kamchatka's coast after the earthquake.
"Due to the earthquake in the Pacific, a 19cm high song may sweep into the Aleutian urban area, a 15cm high song may sweep into the Ust- Kamchatsky urban area, and a 3cm high song may sweep into the Petropavlovsk- Kamchatsky urban area," the Kamchatka Wave Warning and Monitoring Center said.
The US Geological Survey confirmed that the earthquake had an intensity of 7.0 richter, a focal shocking depth of 40.8km, initially determined to be at 50.53 degrees North latitude and 157.83 degrees East longitude.
Meanwhile, the German Center for Geological Sciences said the earthquake had an intensity of 6.8 richter, which occurred in the Kuril Islands.
The Pacific City Tsunami Warning System, which also measured the earthquake intensity at 7.0 degrees richter, said there were no Tsunami warnings for the Hawaiian Islands after the earthquake.
This is the second earthquake reported from near Russia in a week. On July 30, an 8.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in the area, followed by a strong aftershock.

Another earthquake followed as Krasheninnikov volcano in Kamchatka issued overnight, for the first time in 600 years.
The Russian state news agency quoted Ms. Olga Girina, head of the Kamchatka Phunka Fire Fire Response Team, as saying that the outbreak could be related to the earthquake on July 30, causing sunny spells in Russia, Japan, the US and warning of sunny spells in many countries around the world.
