Mr. Ho Ky Quoc Hung - Chairman of Trade Union of Vietnam Tobacco Corporation said that with 5 contents of the Trade Union program of the Corporation organizing the implementation of the month of workers, grassroots trade unions have actively reported and proposed to the Party committees and units about the organization of working months and the month of action on occupational safety and sanitation in 2025 in accordance with the reality of the unit.
The trade unions at all levels in the corporation have focused resources on supporting and visiting the families of cadres and workers in difficulty and who have had work-related accidents; implementing the organization of Workers' Month activities, creating an impression and spreading influence throughout the trade union system and society, with the common goal of all towards workers.
"Union Meals" continue to be implemented with a rich menu and providing more filling portions, ensuring nutrition and food hygiene and safety. This is also an opportunity for union officials to talk, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers, thereby strengthening union members' trust in the union organization as well as developing new union members.
During Workers' Month, emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Promoting initiatives, technical improvements" continue to be promoted and widely spread, with many initiatives applied in practice, bringing many benefits to the unit.
During the Workers' Month, there were 3 good workers from Hoa Viet Joint Stock Company, Thang Long Tobacco Company and Saigon Tobacco Company, who are exemplary workers in the emulation movement for good workers, who were honored and rewarded by the Vietnam Trade Union. The grassroots trade unions coordinated with the unit's leaders to organize an advanced model conference to commend and reward typical advanced examples in the emulation of production labor at the unit.
A very practical and meaningful activity in the month of the working month in 2025 that the Trade Union of the Corporation has recently implemented is the organization of training courses for more than 100 grassroots trade unions, with the purpose of improving skills and skills and fostering knowledge of trade union activities in the new period. Especially in the period when our country is reaching out in the new era, each union official is more than ever to improve the level, meet timely with the time and assert the role of trade union anytime, anywhere, thereby helping us to better fulfill the role of each union official in building a harmonious labor relationship in enterprises.
On the occasion of Workers' Month, the Corporation's Trade Union also supported 208 gifts for workers in difficult circumstances, those who have had work-related accidents, each gifts of VND 500,000 (total amount of VND 104 million); continued to support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and War Invalids, built 3 houses of gratitude, 1 house of love and other social work, a total amount of over VND 300 million.
The grassroots trade unions in the Corporation have supported in cash and in kind nearly 600 employees in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, children of staff, and employees with serious illnesses, with a total amount of over 600 million VND.
