Linking Uncle Ho's education with practical care for union members and workers
From creative ways, the Party Committee of the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor has turned studying and following Uncle Ho into specific actions, practically caring for union members and workers. With outstanding achievements, the unit has just been honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - before the merger, was Party Secretary, Chairman of the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor, now Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - said that before the merger, the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor Party Committee always considered studying and following Uncle Ho as a key task.
Party cells regularly conduct thematic activities, tell stories, integrate articles and speeches of the People for cadres and party members to practice and spread.
In addition, many competitions to learn about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style are organized richly, staged vividly, helping union members to easily accept, creating a vibrant and close atmosphere, turning Uncle Ho's studies into disciplined activities.
Not only stopping at propaganda, the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor has concretized Uncle Ho's education through the movements "New Startup", "Union Meal", "Union Shelter". These activities both care for union members' lives and strengthen the trust of workers and laborers in the Trade Union organization. In particular, the "Back to Workers" program has mobilized the construction of 108 houses, supporting livelihoods for 42 cases with a total cost of nearly 10 billion VND. As a result, 98 households escaped poverty, 2 households became near-poor, reaching a rate of 17.3%.
Recognized achievements and new motivation
Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - said that after the merger, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor submitted a request for opinions from the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province to establish a Party Committee for the Provincial Federation of Labor. After being decided to establish a Party Committee, it will continue to inherit and replicate the good models and methods that the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor has previously effectively implemented. The spirit of learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style will not stop at form but will be concretized through actions associated with the practical rights of workers. This is also the foundation for building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, creating trust and consensus among the staff of the whole province.
Currently, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor is managing 719 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) and grassroots trade unions, with a total of 172,750 union members out of a total of 182,795 employees. According to Mr. Linh, the upcoming focus is to continue to include models of learning and following Uncle Ho in the regular activities of the Trade Union - the closest place to workers. Movements such as "Union Meal", "Union Shelter", or mobilizing union members to compete in "Good workers, creative workers" will be strongly promoted, aiming to improve material and spiritual life, while spreading a sense of responsibility and solidarity among the working group.
Mr. Linh affirmed that replicating these good practices will help grassroots unions promote their role as a reliable support for union members. At the same time, through practical activities, Ho Chi Minh's moral example will be deeply imbued into each small action, from working style to the spirit of sharing in life. With this orientation, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor hopes to create a widespread influence, encourage workers and laborers to enthusiastically compete, and actively contribute to the common development of the locality and the country.
