Support and visit 3,366 union members on the occasion of Workers' Month

On July 10, the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union said that on the occasion of Workers' Month 2025, trade unions at all levels supported and visited 3,366 union members.

Accordingly, during Workers' Month and Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2025, the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union (VTSC) organized many practical and meaningful activities. Typically, successfully organizing the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month in 2025; giving 450 vouchers (each voucher worth 300,000 VND) to 450 union members and 20 gifts (each gift including 1,000,000 VND in cash and 500,000 VND in kind) to union members in difficult circumstances at the launching ceremony; organizing visits and supporting 298 union members with a total amount of 298 million VND. Trade unions at all levels supported and visited 3,366 union members with a total amount of VND 3.366 billion.

In particular, the Vietnam Post Corporation coordinated with Vietnam Post Corporation to open preferential booths for union members and workers to participate in purchasing goods; and cooperated with health care partners to examine and examine officials, union members and workers.

During the Action for Children Month and Vietnam Family Day in 2025, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Social Affairs supported 297 children of workers and civil servants in the science and technology sector who are seriously ill, have birth defects, and are in families with especially difficult circumstances with a total amount of 297 million VND (1,000,000 VND each). In which, the Trade Union directly visited 5 children, in addition to cash of 1 million VND, each child was given an additional gift worth 600,000 VND. Trade unions at all levels supported 1,828 children with a total amount of over 1 billion VND.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also directs trade unions at all levels to coordinate with authorities at the same level to organize the implementation of the Law on Grassroots Democracy and the Guidelines of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on trade unions participating in grassroots democracy. 247/274 agencies, units and enterprises have organized conferences of cadres, civil servants and labor conferences at a rate of 90.14%; effectively implemented negotiations and signings (grassroots trade unions in the enterprise sector have signed 198 collective labor agreements - Collective Labor Agreements) and organized the implementation of signed collective labor agreements. 100% of collective labor agreements in all units have provisions that are more beneficial to employees than those in current labor law. The content of the Collective Labor Agreement shows more specifically and clearly the obligations and rights of employers and employees.

The Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union manages 274 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with 83,145 union members; of which, it directly directs 25 affiliated trade unions, including 5 trade unions at the grassroots level and 20 affiliated grassroots trade unions.
