On August 22, at the headquarters of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, a labor mediator organized a working session to resolve labor disputes between 117 workers and legal representatives of Hoa Khanh Da Nang Textile Joint Stock Company related to unpaid salaries and severance allowances, with a total amount of nearly 3.3 billion VND.
At the mediation session, the employee said that the company had not fully paid the salary and severance allowance even though the employee had repeatedly petitioned. The employee requested the Company to resolve the remaining amounts immediately and definitively.
Representatives of Hoa Khanh Textile Joint Stock Company Da Nang said that the enterprise has faced difficulties in production and business activities since the Covid-19 epidemic.
The company is reviewing debts to employees, gradually stabilizing and restoring production, and is expected to gradually pay off outstanding debts, no later than December 31, 2027.
Based on the content of the dispute, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh - labor mediator, Deputy Head of the Department of Labor and Employment, Da Nang City Department of Home Affairs requested the company to fully review the amounts proposed by employees, coordinate with employees to identify and implement payments in accordance with legal regulations.
However, employees did not agree with the plan and payment deadline given by the company representative, and at the same time continued to request the business to immediately resolve outstanding debts.
Because the parties could not agree on a settlement plan, the mediation session was determined to be unsuccessful. The mediation record was made and approved with the participation of the labor mediator, the employee and the legal representative of Hoa Khanh Da Nang Textile Joint Stock Company.
It is known that after the mediation failed, the worker will continue to request the City Labor Federation to support the next legal procedures to request protection of the legitimate rights and interests violated according to legal regulations.
