Ensuring increasingly better working conditions for workers
On the morning of April 26, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor coordinated with the Central Steering Committee for the Month of March on Labor Safety and Hygiene and the Ministry of Home Affairs to organize the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and the Month of March on Labor Safety and Hygiene in 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh - Member of the Politburo, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government said that during the process of building, defending the country and developing the country, the working class was always an important force of the industrialization and modernization of the industry, the driving force to promote the sustainable development economy. In the current context, the strong development of science and technology, especially the 4.0 Industrial Revolution and the global digitalization trend, are both an opportunity and a big challenge, requiring the Vietnamese working class to constantly innovate, create, develop digital skills, improve labor productivity, and maintain its pioneering role in the country's socio-economic development.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh affirmed that developing the working class, promoting vocational training, supporting workers to improve their skills is a consistent policy of the Party and State, with many specific mechanisms, policies, and solutions; thereby promoting the transformation of economic structure and labor structure, while creating opportunities and favorable conditions for workers to participate in new industries, especially in fields related to digital technology and artificial intelligence. All levels, sectors and localities are striving to achieve the set strategic goal of ensuring that all workers have development opportunities, are fully equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to keep up with global development trends.
According to the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, this year's Workers' Month with the theme "Vietnamese Workers Pioneering to enter a new era" is an opportunity for us to honor the value of labor, arouse the creativity and responsibility of workers in the process of building a strong and prosperous Vietnam, with a prosperous and prosperous life for the people.

State management agencies from the central to local levels will strengthen guidance, inspection and examination of compliance with laws on occupational safety and hygiene, focus on assessing the working environment, especially in places with arduous, toxic and dangerous working conditions; promptly take measures to prevent and improve working conditions, ensure the rights of workers; strive to reduce the rate of occupational accidents and diseases; in which this May must be lower than the average of previous years.
