Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Chairman of Quang Ngai People's Committee - said that the province welcomed the idea of investing in social housing projects of Khang Nam Group. In recent years, the province has policy to attract investors to implement social housing projects; At the same time, it has been issued a plan to implement the project "Investment in building at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people, workers in industrial parks for the period 2021-2030" in 2025 in Quang Ngai.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and localities to review the proposed positions, compare with the province's planning, thereby advising the provincial People's Committee to consider and decide to implement the next steps.
Currently, Quang Ngai has more than 115,000 workers, civil servants and employees working at agencies, units and enterprises with grassroots unions under the Provincial Federation of Labor.
The construction of social housing in Quang Ngai is extremely necessary due to the great demand. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has assigned the target to Quang Ngai province to attract and build 6,300 social housing units by 2030, including 1,500 units in the 2022-2025 period and 4,800 units in the 2026-2030 period.
