According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Kien, Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of CPV Food Co., Ltd. (Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park, Chon Thanh ward, Dong Nai city), he himself always acts and has practical and effective actions in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style. Especially in training and cultivating ethics, practicing thrift, preventing and combating corruption and wastefulness, Mr. Kien is always ready to take on new and difficult tasks assigned by superiors; has initiatives and improvements in labor production recognized for profit value, actively contributing to improving the competitiveness of enterprises.
Mr. Kien has participated in proposing improvement projects and management solutions in work to help benefit businesses with many initiatives such as: building a "0-dong wardrobe" to help people in difficult circumstances, monthly sharing more than 2,300 products. Mr. Kien said: The wardrobe plays the role of a direct connection point, helping disadvantaged workers to access clothes, shoes and essential items without any cost.
Every year, the company's trade union also organizes periodic prenatal classes for nearly 200 female union members who are pregnant or intend to be pregnant.
Mr. Kien said that he noticed that 53% of the workers in the company are female and the majority are young female union members. The organization of prenatal classes for union members aims to raise awareness and equip female workers with knowledge about reproductive health care, nutrition, periodic gynecological examinations, and self-health checks. Through the class, the Trade Union also integrates legal content to help female workers understand their rights to maternity benefits, rest hours, and allowances according to the provisions of the Labor Law and Social Insurance. Guiding suitable working postures for pregnant women to avoid affecting the fetus, especially in the production environment.
In addition, Mr. Kien also has many initiatives to help businesses save hundreds of millions of VND each year and help workers save working time such as: the initiative "Implementing improvements to replace plastic drums with Jumbo bags", the initiative "improving waste to sell raw materials for animal feed".
Mr. Kien also has proposals, initiatives, and solutions in Party building work at the grassroots level; regularly helps colleagues to progress together; is trusted by Party committees, experts, and trade unions; is trusted and followed by colleagues.
With the results achieved, Mr. Nguyen Trong Kien is one of 88 individuals commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for their outstanding achievements in "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style" in the period 2023 - 2025.
