Speed ​​up progress, work in 3 shifts and 4 shifts

In early January 2025, despite the harsh sun and strong winds, hundreds of workers and engineers at the Dai Ngai 2 bridge construction site were still working hard to ensure the project's progress.

Mr. Bach Huy Nam - manager of the bridge construction department of the Contractor Construction Corporation No. 1 - CC1 said that although it was the first days of the year, with the spirit of speeding up the progress, the unit still maintained the number of personnel, working in 3 shifts and 4 teams. Up to now, Dai Ngai 2 bridge has been completed on January 5 and strives to basically complete it in 2025.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, a resident of An Thanh Tay commune (Long Phu district, Soc Trang province): "Everyone hopes that Dai Ngai 2 will be completed soon for convenient travel and easy consumption of agricultural products."

The representative of Project Management Board 58 (Ministry of Transport) - the investor of Dai Ngai Bridge project - informed that the contractors have mobilized 253 personnel, 91 machines and equipment of various types; deployed 19 construction teams. The total output of the project reached more than 59%.

According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, at the Rach Mieu 2 bridge construction site, there are many workers, engineers, equipment and machinery focused on items such as leveling the ground, bundling cable-stayed cables, etc.

Mr. Tran Van Thi - Director of My Thuan Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport) - said that up to now, the Rach Mieu 2 bridge project has been completed over 75%. To bring the project to the finish line on schedule, the unit has directed contractors to deploy construction in 3 shifts, 4 teams...

Mr. Le Minh Thao - a worker at the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge construction site - said that the weather was favorable so his colleagues were mobilized to work overtime and shift shifts regularly to bring the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project to the finish line as soon as possible.

Aiming to complete by the end of 2025

According to a reporter at Lo Da bridge located in the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway section, in Vi Thuy district, Hau Giang province, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - a construction worker (52 years old, Ha Tinh province) shared that workers and engineers continuously had to work overtime to regain progress, because before that it was the rainy season so the construction encountered many difficulties.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Hong Quan - Deputy Director of the Truong Son Nam Management Board - informed that up to this point, the project is accelerating its progress to complete by the end of 2025. Currently, there are about 200 engineers and workers on site, who can synchronously deploy items from bridges, culverts, and weak ground treatment.

The Deputy Director of the Executive Board of Truong Son Nam said that the company always encourages workers' spirit, allows overtime to increase income, provides meals and extra salary on holidays, and ensures health to complete tasks well.

* Dai Ngai 2 Bridge is 862m long, crossing Hau River connecting Cu Lao Dung with mainland Soc Trang, including 13 spans and 91 girders, the main span is 330m long. After more than 1 year of construction, the project has always ensured safety, deployed 3 shifts, 4 crews, construction during Tet, shortening the progress by 6 months compared to the plan.

* The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project is 17.6km long, connecting Tien Giang and Ben Tre, with a total investment of more than 6,810 billion VND. Construction started in March 2022, the bridge has 4 lanes, a speed of 80km/h, and is expected to be completed in 2025, helping to reduce congestion at the old Rach Mieu Bridge and reduce the load on National Highway 1.

* Can Tho - Ca Mau Expressway is more than 110km long, with a total investment of more than 27,500 billion VND, starting construction in January 2023 and completed at the end of 2025. The project is divided into two sections: Can Tho - Hau Giang 37km and Hau Giang - Ca Mau 73km.
