Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee, Central Trade Unions, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Party Secretary, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Vice Presidents: Huynh Thanh Xuan, Phan Van Anh, Nguyen Xuan Hung chaired the conference.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang said that this is the first conference of the Executive Committee after 5 months of implementing the two-level local government model.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that in 2025, in addition to concretizing the 2025 working theme "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", trade unions at all levels will focus on implementing streamlined, compact, strong, efficient, effective and efficient organizational arrangement, associated with the structure of trade union cadres; organizing trade union congresses at all levels towards the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (expected to be held at the end of the second quarter of 2026).
From practical work in sectors, localities and units, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang suggested that delegates give their opinions on assessing the results of trade union activities in 2025; discussing the remaining contents, limitations, analyzing and clarifying the causes, and at the same time, based on forecasting the situation, proposing tasks and solutions that need to be focused on in 2026, to overcome shortcomings and limitations, thereby successfully completing the targets and tasks set in 2026.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang also asked the delegates to give their opinions on the Draft Report of the 13th Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to be submitted to the Congress of Vietnam Trade Union for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Regarding the report on the results of the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in 2025; the plan to develop union members in 2026, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that this is an important and regular task of the organization.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang suggested that the delegates reflect more on the difficulties, obstacles and obstacles in practical implementation, propose specific solutions to improve implementation results, and demonstrate greater political determination to do this work well in 2026.
