On March 19, the Trade Union of Lam Dong Hospital II said that Mr. Ho Van Duc's family had received a total amount of support of more than 1 billion VND after a period of calling for and connecting.

The funding is contributed by organizations, businesses, colleagues and philanthropists through the Trade Union of Lam Dong Department of Health, the Fatherland Front Committee (MTTQ) of Ward 2 Bao Loc, the Trade Union of B'Lao Ward and the grassroots Trade Union of Lam Dong Hospital II.
Of which, 916 million VND was transferred to the account of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Mr. Duc's wife, and the remaining 100 million VND was directly given in cash.

On behalf of Mr. Duc's family, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Lam Dong Hospital II respectfully thanked the Trade Union levels, the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, agencies, units, colleagues and philanthropists for joining hands to support and add motivation for the family to overcome difficulties.
Representatives of the Trade Union of Lam Dong Hospital II said that the support money has partly met the immediate treatment and care needs for Mr. Duc. The unit and family have also closed the call for support.

Mr. Ho Van Duc is still being treated in a coma, under special monitoring and care.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported: Mr. Ho Van Duc is a diagnostic imaging technician working at Lam Dong Hospital II.
He is the main breadwinner of the family, but on the night of March 6th, he unfortunately had a serious traffic accident leading to traumatic brain injury.
Mr. Duc's family is in particularly difficult circumstances. His biological mother has cancer and is in poor health. The eldest son (18 years old) is being treated for blood cancer, while the youngest son has a short femur and intellectual disability.
Mr. Duc's wife does not have a stable job because she has to stay home to take care of her children. Timely support from trade union organizations, officials, medical staff and philanthropists has contributed to helping Mr. Duc's family have more conditions to cover treatment costs, and at the same time add motivation to overcome the difficult period.
