More than 2,000 workers (in Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province) are stopping collective work to demand a salary increase.

On March 3, a representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) said that on the morning of the same day, more than 2,000 workers of Adiana Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. (in Xuan Phu commune, Tho Xuan district) stopped working collectively and concentrated in the company yard area.

The reason the workers stopped working was because they thought that Adiana Vietnam Shoes Company Limited still maintained a lower salary than other companies in the area.

"The Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor has directed the Tho Xuan District Federation of Labor to grasp the concerns of workers, work with the company and local authorities to resolve the above incident" - the representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor informed.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of March 1, more than 2,500 workers at Roll Sport Shoes Company Limited (in Tay Ho Commune, Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province) also stopped working collectively to demand a salary increase. After a short hiatus and being paid a salary increase by the company, thousands of workers have returned to normal work.
