More than 2,500 workers of a shoe company in Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province have stopped working collectively to demand a salary increase.

On March 1, thousands of workers of Roll Sport Shoes Company Limited (in Tay Ho commune, Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province) stopped working collectively to demand a salary increase.

According to the workers, the reason for their suspension is because Roll Sport Shoes Company Limited maintains a lower salary than other companies in the same area.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Trade Union of Roll Sport Shoes Company Limited said that on the same morning, more than 2,500 workers had stopped working. After listening to the opinions of workers and the participation of the trade union, the company's leaders agreed to increase salaries. Therefore, most workers have agreed and returned to work.

A representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor said that immediately after grasping the incident, the unit sent a working group to the company to listen to the workers' thoughts and aspirations. At the same time, work with the company and local authorities on the above incident.
