"The reason for the workers' suspension is because they think the company is applying lower salaries than other businesses in the area. Workers suggested that the enterprise increase it to nearly 5 million VND, instead of the current level of more than 4.3 million VND" - said a representative of Tho Xuan District Labor Federation.

Also according to the representative of Tho Xuan District Labor Federation, more than 2,000 workers stopped working collectively for a short time, from the beginning of the working session until about 9:00 a.m. the same day. After the company's leaders promised to meet their wish for a salary increase, all workers returned to normal work.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, also in Tho Xuan District, on the morning of March 1, more than 2,500 workers at Roll Sport Shoes Company Limited (in Tay Ho Commune, Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province) stopped working collectively to demand a salary increase. After a short hiatus and being paid a salary increase by the company, thousands of workers have returned to normal work.
