At Tunnel Transport Workshop 1, Duong Huy Coal Company, Mr. Nguyen Van Lam (born in 1983), Production Team Leader cum Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, is a typical example of creative labor.
He and the production team regularly inspect and maintain equipment, promptly handle incidents, and ensure the underground transportation system operates smoothly. Thanks to that, the safe operation rate reached 99.7%, exceeding the plan by 0.5%; more than 320 maintenance trips were carried out, 65 minor incidents were overcome, helping to reduce 12% of machine stopping time.
Close management and maintenance helps extend the life of equipment by 6-12 months, saving 5-7% of material costs each year, contributing to helping the workshop achieve 105% of the production plan.
Mr. Lam also actively proposed technical initiatives such as manufacturing monorail diesel fuel oil pumps using compressed air, and solutions to move conveyor belt drive stations. At the same time, he regularly guides young workers to improve their skills, be proactive and ensure safety in production.

At Mine Excavation Workshop 3, Ha Long Coal Company - TKV, miner Vi Van Soc was awarded the title "Miner - Soldier" in August 2026. He always strictly complies with technical procedures, safety regulations, coordinates well with his teammates and completes assigned tasks.
As a member of production team No. 1, Mr. Soc and the collective maintain the production pace, contributing to completing the workshop plan. In August 2026, his income reached 28.5 million VND.
Commending workers like Mr. Lam and Mr. Soc contributes to spreading the emulation movement, encouraging workers to promote initiatives, improve responsibility and ensure production safety.
Organizing 3 "Glory of Miners" programs
According to Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of TKV Trade Union, every year TKV Trade Union coordinates with professional departments to launch emulation movements, contributing to completing production and business tasks.
The movements focus on good labor, creativity, income improvement, ensuring labor safety and hygiene, caring for life and organizing cultural and sports activities for workers.

The spread of the movements is shown through specific figures. There are 25,494 initiatives, technical improvements, and solutions of workers implemented with a total benefit value of over 3,000 billion VND.
Along with that, employees registered to take on over 5,000 projects, including 142 TKV Trade Union-level projects, with a total project reward of 1.066 billion VND.
Not only focusing on production, the emulation movement in TKV trade unions at all levels is also associated with caring for and improving the material and spiritual life of workers.
One content that the TKV Trade Union focuses on is discovering and building advanced examples, excellent workers and good managers. Through this, individuals with outstanding achievements are commended, creating a spreading effect in each unit.
TKV Trade Union organized 3 "Glory of Miners" programs, commending 645 outstanding and typical workers and officials; coordinated to honor 30 "Enterprises for Workers"; considered and awarded 1,316 individuals with the title "Creative Miners"; proposed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor consider and award Creative Labor Certificates to 307 people.
