The Quang Ngai Provincial Employment Service Center said that currently the whole province has 29 businesses and units registering the need to recruit more than 8,300 workers in many industries and different levels. In which, general labor accounts for more than 3,400 targets; university and college degrees over 1,000 targets; intermediate level, technical workers over 1,700 targets. The large recruitment demand reflects the increasingly open investment environment in Quang Ngai, attracting many businesses to expand production and business.
In Dung Quat Economic Zone, PetroVietnam Shipbuilding and Mechanical Industry Co., Ltd. (under Vietnam Oil and Gas Group) is in need of recruiting more than 800 workers in the fields of welding, mechanics, assembly, painting, and scaffolding. Not only recruiting a large number, the enterprise also supports free vocational training for unskilled workers, with the lowest salary from 13.5 million VND/month along with many attractive preferential treatment regimes.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Yen - Human Resources Department of PetroVietnam Shipbuilding and Mechanical Industry Co., Ltd. - said that for workers in remote localities, the company arranges collective housing for workers, and also supports weekly shuttle buses, helping workers feel secure to work for a long time.
In the foreign-invested enterprise sector, Foster Quang Ngai Electronics Co., Ltd. (100% Japanese investment capital) is also in need of recruiting about 200 workers to serve the plan to expand car speaker production. This is considered a stable job opportunity for many young workers, especially the group who have just graduated from high school.
Ms. Pham Thi Trinh - Human Resources specialist of Foster Quang Ngai Electronics Co., Ltd. - said that the business is transitioning from headphone production to car speakers, so the demand for labor recruitment is increasing. The average total income of workers, including overtime, reaches about 9 - 11 million VND/month.
Not only focusing on connecting jobs in the province, the Quang Ngai Employment Service Center also promotes counseling, vocational training and expands channels to send workers to work abroad with high incomes.
Mr. Vo Duy Yen - Acting Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial Employment Service Center - said that the center regularly organizes direct counseling and equips workers with vocational skills before participating in interviews. For unskilled workers, the center is oriented towards businesses with training policies, helping workers both work and learn a trade and still be paid in the first 2 months. Thanks to that, workers can quickly stabilize their jobs, while businesses have suitable human resources.
Job connection must be implemented synchronously, from career orientation suitable to the capacity of workers to meeting the recruitment needs of each business" - Mr. Yen emphasized.
Also according to Mr. Yen, besides the domestic labor market, the center also orients workers to access high-income markets such as: Japan, Korea and Romania. In which, the Romanian market does not require skills or foreign languages, income from 25 - 30 million VND/month, low cost, and is fully covered by businesses for accommodation and transportation, suitable for experienced male workers.
