Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez has announced the status of members of President Nicolas Maduro's security team in the US military campaign to arrest the leader.

On January 4, the Cuban government said that 32 Cubans were killed in the US campaign to arrest Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
According to the Cuban Government, due to the US attack on Venezuela on January 3, "32 Cubans were killed in combat operations, while on duty on behalf of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the Ministry of Interior, at the request of the partner agencies of this South American nation".
Our compatriots have fulfilled their missions heroically and dignifiedly, fallen after fierce resistance, in direct battles with attackers or as a result of bombing facilities," the Cuban government statement stated.
