On May 24, Mr. Tran Luc - Chairman of the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, Poor Patients and Orphans in Lam Dong province said that he had just coordinated with the humanitarian TV program Thang Vong Song Ho Chi Minh City and sponsors to visit and provide support to two families in difficult circumstances in the area.
The program has awarded support of 1,029 billion VND to 2 families in especially difficult circumstances.
The family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh in Tan Nghia commune, Di Linh district was supported with 236.2 million VND. Her husband died of an early illness, she is raising 3 young children, does not have a stable house, and life is very difficult.
The family of Ms. Le Thi Tinh, residing in Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong district, was supported with 790.7 million VND. Ms. Tinh is working alone to raise 3 sick children.
Ms. Tinh's 13-year-old daughter is in 7th grade and has thyroid cancer. Due to difficult circumstances, Ms. Tinh has not had the conditions to operate or treat her child.
Ms. Tinh's 7-year-old twin son is also sick. One child was hyperactive, had language disorder, and often broke things. The other child has language development disorder, slurred speech and autism.
Currently, Ms. Le Thi Tinh and her 3 sick children do not have a house and are living in her sister's dilapidated house.
