The cinema system in Ho Chi Minh City has temporarily suspended operations during the two national mourning days (24 and 25.); at the same time, it has proposed a plan to support customers to book tickets early.

During the National Funeral Ceremony for former President Tran Duc Luong (May 24 and 25), all cultural, artistic, sports and entertainment activities at public spaces nationwide were temporarily suspended.

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, theaters in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of May 24 have temporarily stopped operating. Theaters such as CGV, BHD, Beta Cinemas... all have announced in advance that theaters will temporarily close, and staff have also cleaned up ticket booths and arranged waiting chairs for customers right away.

Associating with the cinema clusters about the audience's pre-booked tickets to watch the film on May 24 and 25, the cinema said it had proposed a support plan for customers who booked tickets early.

At the CGV theater system, the representative said that customers who buy tickets in cash can go to the theater before the screening date to receive refund support. Customers who pay by bank card or e-wallet will be refunded to their accounts.

The representative of the BHD Star theater system also confirmed that the theaters have contacted almost all customers to support ticket exchanges and refunds. In some cases where they cannot be contacted, the theater still ensures full benefits for visitors. The theaters will reopen on May 26.
