At the same time, entertainment and recreation areas in the city have also temporarily suspended operations according to the announcement of the National Day of Former President Tran Duc Luong.
According to Lao Dong, the solemn and respectful atmosphere spread on many streets, administrative agencies and public places in the city. The national flag is hung at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, departments, branches, sectors, many units, educational institutions and headquarters of mass organizations.


Also this morning, a number of schools in Ho Chi Minh City held a year-end summary meeting and also performed a silence ceremony for former President Tran Duc Luong, summarizing his biography as well as sharing the great contributions and feats of comrade Tran Duc Luong in the cause of building and developing the country.
Thai Duc Minh (a student of Luong The Vinh High School) said that he was very touched when he heard about the life and career of the late President Tran Duc Luong. "I am especially impressed when teachers mention the period when Uncle Ho is the President with many important decisions in the period when the country integrates, develops economically, improves people's lives and expands foreign relations.




Passing through many streets of Ho Chi Minh City during the National Day, many people also clearly felt the solemn and respectful atmosphere covering the entire place.
Mr. Ho Nguyen Hung (residing in District 3) shared: "I passed by many agencies and saw the invitation flags hanged solemnly, it felt like the whole city was quietly saying goodbye to a worthy leader. This is also an opportunity for the younger generation like me to look back on the contributions of those who have contributed to the country."
Many shopping malls, performance stages, entertainment hotspots, bars, karaoke, theaters... also simultaneously stopped serving customers during the two days of National Day. Music programs, art performances, and cultural and entertainment events have also been postponed or canceled to show respect and commemoration for comrade Tran Duc Luong.
The visitation ceremony for former President Tran Duc Luong began from 7:00 a.m. on May 24 to 7:00 a.m. on May 25, at Thong Nhat Hall (Ben Nghe Ward, District 1). The public can visit from 12:00 on May 24. The memorial service for former President Tran Duc Luong took place at 7:00 a.m. on May 25.
