On November 6, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to guide the preparation for the organization of the Commune and Ward Trade Union Conference for the 2025-2030 term, in the form of direct and online coordination.
The conference was attended by Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Provincial Federation of Labor; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Heads of professional departments of the Provincial Federation of Labor and more than 100 delegates who are Chairmen of Commune and Ward Trade Unions in Dong Thap province.
At the Conference, leaders of the professional departments of the Provincial Federation of Labor informed and guided the preparation work to organize the Commune and Ward Trade Union Conference for the 2025-2030 term; focusing on emphasizing the key contents of organization, finance, documents and propaganda work, to ensure the Conference is organized solemnly, in accordance with regulations and achieves high efficiency.
Delegates attending the Conference discussed and exchanged enthusiastically, focusing on many practical contents related to the preparation and organization of Commune and Ward Trade Union conferences, such as: the development of summary reports on terms, personnel processes of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, propaganda, decoration, celebration, organization of discussions and votes at the Conference... Many opinions also raised difficulties and problems at the grassroots level, especially in the stages of personnel arrangement, organization time, funding and facilities conditions.
In the spirit of openness and frankness, the contents of the discussion were directly answered by leaders and professional departments of the Provincial Federation of Labor, with specific instructions, helping the grassroots trade unions of communes and wards have more grounds to comply with regulations, ensuring that the Conference is organized thoughtfully, democratically, practically and effectively.
Concluding the Conference, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui acknowledged the sense of responsibility and proactiveness of units in preparing to organize the Conference of Commune and Ward Trade Unions. Ms. Vui suggested that commune and ward grassroots trade unions continue to promote the spirit of proactiveness and creativity, organize the Conference to ensure progress, compliance with regulations, substance and efficiency, considering this an extensive political activity among union members and workers.
Ms. Vui also noted that during the preparation process, units need to focus on developing Conference documents to ensure full items, targets, and tasks, closely following the Resolution of the Party Congresses of communes and wards, associated with local socio-economic development programs and goals.
In particular, units need to pay attention to promoting digital transformation in trade union activities, enhancing innovation and creativity in propaganda, mobilization and organization of emulation movements, contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of trade union activities at the grassroots level.
