300 official delegates
This is a Congress of special significance and is considered a festival for union members in the whole city of Da Nang, and at the same time marks a fundamental change in the organizational model of the trade union apparatus in the new era of national development.
The Congress will take place over 2 days, December 12 and 13, 2025 at the City Political School with the participation of 300 official delegates representing more than 216 thousand union members in Da Nang City.
At the first session, on the afternoon of December 12, the Congress elected the Presidium, Secretariat, and the Committee for Inspection of the Congress Delegation status, approving the Congress's Program and Working Regulations.

Well perform the role of representing, caring for, and protecting
According to Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, in the past term, under the leadership of the City Party Committee and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the close coordination of authorities at all levels and the efforts of the entire system, the activities of the Da Nang City Labor Union have had many innovations and creativity, achieving comprehensive results in all fields.
Before the merger, the Da Nang City and Quang Nam Provincial Labor Federations managed 3,382 grassroots unions and grassroots unions with 407,936 union members.
After the merger, establishment of the new Da Nang City Labor Federation and implementation of the Central Resolution on ending trade union organization activities in administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% of salaries from the state budget, as of October 31, 2025, the Da Nang City Labor Federation will manage 1,767 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions, with 216,707 union members.
In the 2023-2025 period, the City Trade Union has performed well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Promote the development of union members, build a strong organization; increase dialogue, negotiation, improve welfare; effectively implement emulation movements; at the same time, improve the quality of propaganda, inspection, supervision and expansion of foreign affairs activities.
At the same time, promptly consolidate and improve the organizational apparatus, meeting the requirements of the new situation and in line with the 2-level local government model. The achieved results have left a deep impression, affirming the position and prestige of the Trade Union organization in social life.
For the 2025-2030 term, the City Trade Union Congress determined to build a strong, comprehensive, effective City Trade Union with the capacity to adapt and solve problems.
Perform well the functions and tasks in the new situation; be a solid political and social foundation of the Party and State. Play a good role as a bridge, maintaining close links between Party committees, authorities and the working class and laborers of the city.
It is worthy of being the largest representative organization, the center of gathering and unity of the working class and laborers, a reliable bridge, a solid support, accompanying businesses and laborers, a pioneer force in digital transformation, innovation and carrying out the task of building and developing a modern Da Nang city with high quality of life, becoming a growth pole of Vietnam, together with the country entering the era of national growth.
