According to Mr. Hoang Phuc Lam - Deputy Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, along with heavy rain in the North and North Central regions due to cold air, there is a risk of extreme weather phenomena such as monsoons, tornadoes and even hail.
"Cold air accompanied by rain will cause a sudden change of weather from dry cold to severe cold due to high humidity in the air, mountainous and midland areas in the North are likely to experience widespread severe cold. This is the characteristic of this cold spell" - Mr. Lam said.
The Deputy Director of the meteorological agency warned that this cold air mass, when affected by moderate to heavy rain, will have a huge impact on crops, livestock, poultry, etc.
Severe cold and severe cold also have a great impact on the health of people and livestock. Therefore, the first thing in response is to cover the crops and keep the bodies of humans and animals warm. People should not go out when there is strong thunderstorms.
