Khanh Hoa strengthens legal dissemination, helping workers understand their rights and obligations, proactively protect themselves, contributing to building stable and sustainable labor relations.

Improving legal understanding, protecting the rights of workers

According to the Department of Home Affairs of Khanh Hoa province, the whole province has more than 1 million people of working age, adding about 15,000-20,000 people each year. Currently, the locality has nearly 15,000 businesses and more than 96,000 individual economic establishments, employing about 350,000 workers.

The rate of trained workers reaches over 80%, but unskilled workers still account for a large proportion. This shows that the labor market is vibrant, and at the same time poses an urgent requirement to raise legal awareness for workers (NLĐ).

In fact, most workers, civil servants, and laborers trust in the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and well comply with internal regulations at enterprises. However, in the past, there have been many cases related to labor law, prolonged social insurance debts, affecting the rights of workers.

Mr. Thai Hoa (name changed), who used to work as a worker at a construction company in Nha Trang ward, said that he himself was once owed a salary. After seeking legal support from the union, he and some engineers have had their legitimate rights resolved.

In fact, workers like us pay little attention to legal regulations directly related to our salary, regime, and policies" - Mr. Hoa shared.

Towards the goal of 100% of workers being disseminated the law

Implementing Directive 58-CT/TW, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has issued an action program to strengthen the Party's leadership over propaganda, political, ideological and legal education for workers in the new situation.

Accordingly, the province sets a target of 100% of workers being disseminated laws annually; 100% of grassroots trade unions organize at least one propaganda activity. At the same time, workers are given conditions to participate in cultural and sports activities, improving spiritual life.
One highlight is promoting digital transformation in propaganda work.Trade union officials and propagandists are trained in skills to use digital platforms and artificial intelligence tools to improve communication effectiveness.

In addition, the province focuses on strengthening dialogue between workers and employers, promptly grasping and solving problems arising right from the grassroots level.

The program also emphasizes the core role of the Trade Union organization in protecting workers' rights; proactively coordinate with businesses to organize propaganda, negotiation, and dialogue on salaries, working hours and welfare.

Employers are required to create conditions for workers to study law, and at the same time fully implement regimes on insurance, labor safety and social welfare.

In parallel, state management agencies strengthen inspection and examination of labor law compliance; improve policies on housing and working environment, contributing to improving the quality of life for workers.

According to leaders of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, the action program is an important basis for trade unions to implement solutions to improve access to the law, helping workers understand their rights and obligations and create a "soft shield" against risks in labor relations.

In the context of integration and digital transformation, building a team of workers with legal knowledge, professional skills and industrial style is identified as a key factor for Khanh Hoa to develop sustainably in the new period.
