The two households that received funding to renovate their houses are Ms. Ho Thi Nhop (born in 1950; Trai Rang village, Cam Dan commune) and Ms. La Thi Canh (born in 1984; residing in Dong Chu village, Yen Dinh commune). Each family is supported with 70 million VND, drawn from the provincial "Union Shelter" Fund.
It is known that both households are in particularly difficult circumstances. Ms. Nhop's family is poor; her husband is deceased, and her children do not have stable jobs; she is old and weak, and often sick. The family's house was built a long time ago, seriously degraded, and was severely damaged after storm No. 3.
Ms. Canh is disabled, living alone, her family has been a near-poor household for many years; her old house is not safe during the rainy and stormy season.
The two projects were started at the end of 2024, and have now been completed, ensuring the progress and quality set out.
In addition to the support money from the Provincial Federation of Labor, local organizations helped many working days to dismantle and construct the project.
On this occasion, the District Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Son Dong District Labor Federation and the authorities of Cam Dan and Yen Dinh communes presented many meaningful gifts, helping the two families improve their lives and reduce difficulties to stabilize their lives.
These are two cases supported by the program of erasing temporary houses and dilapidated houses. Responding to the movement "Bac Giang join hands for the poor - not to let anyone be left behind", actively implementing the program of erasing temporary houses and dilapidated houses for the poor in the province, in the two years 2024 and 2025, the provincial Labor Union supported the construction of 38 houses for poor and near -poor households in the province with a total amount of 2.3 billion VND.
Also from the "Union Shelter" Fund (implemented since 2008), the unit has supported the construction of nearly 500 houses for families of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in difficult circumstances, with a total value of nearly 14 billion VND.
