Of which, candidates from FDI enterprises account for 45%. Candidates participated in 2 parts, including the theory exam and the practical exam.
Mr. Do Thanh Son, a worker at Fecon Joint Stock Company, a contestant participating in the Contest, said that this is a valuable opportunity for workers to demonstrate their professional capacity, exchange, learn, practice their mettle, improve their skills, and meet the increasingly high requirements of businesses and society.
"We clearly feel the concern and facilitation of the City leaders and the Trade Union organization - who always accompany and encourage workers to have the opportunity to shine" - Mr. Son said.
Sharing the same thought with Mr. Son, the contestants shared that the 2025 Hanoi City Skilled Workers Competition is not only a place to affirm their professional skills, but also a practical activity to help them improve their skills, ready to meet the increasingly modern technology and production equipment.
The above thoughts stem from the need to learn, improve skills and demonstrate the capacity and professional spirit of direct workers. Because, entering a new era with the 4.0 revolution and digital transformation, each worker not only needs to master machinery but also constantly learn technology to improve labor productivity, not being behind the times.
Coming to the formation of professional groups and business groups
Present at the contest and directly encouraging the contestants, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu highly appreciated Hanoi and the City Labor Federation for organizing and maintaining the annual contest on an increasingly large scale, with increasingly improved quality.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that this year's contest took place at a particularly meaningful time when Hanoi City had just successfully organized the 18th Party Congress, and at the same time welcomed the 11th Patriotic Emulation Congress for Workers, setting the goal of developing a modern, sustainable and innovative industry.
This is an opportunity for workers to meet, exchange expertise, improve skills, meet increasingly high requirements for human resource quality, and contribute to the successful implementation of the capital's socio-economic development targets - Vice Chairman shared.
In particular, Vice Chairman Ngo Duy Hieu expressed his hope that the Organizing Committee would continue to expand the subjects and occupations of the contest, moving towards forming occupational groups and business groups, aiming for the long-term goal of developing a high-tech workforce in many fields - a key human resource for digital transformation and modern industrial development.
The Skilled Workers' Competition is not only an opportunity for workers to demonstrate their professional capacity but also a practical activity to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on "Breakthrough in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation", in the context of globalization and deep integration.
