As of 9:00 p.m. on November 7, the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway was still temporarily closed from Ma Lam intersection (km208) to the intersection with Phan Thiet intersection (km234).
Previously, at around 5:30 p.m. the same day, heavy rain caused the sections of Km215+550 and Km233+500 on this expressway to be flooded with more than half of the road surface.

Flooded location on the North-South road. Due to the flooded road surface, vehicles moved slowly, not ensuring traffic safety.
The route management unit has come to install a warning sign system and handle the road surface. Workers have cleared the road drainage ditch with sand and soil to clear the flow. At the same time, they push the stagnant water off the road.
However, by around 8:00 p.m. the same day, the floodwaters were heavier, covering the road surface in both directions.

The Traffic Police force of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) has organized a road closure (Northeast - South) at Ma Lam intersection and regulated vehicles to travel to National Highway 28 and National Highway 1.
Previously, at Km215 and Km233 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, the road surface was flooded many times during heavy rain.
