Temporarily suspending traffic on a section of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway due to flooding

Lam Dong - A section of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway (North - South direction) must be temporarily blocked to handle flooding on the road surface.

At about 2:00 p.m. on November 1, the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway, km215 through Ham Liem Commune, Lam Dong Province, was flooded again.

In reality, rainwater from high-lying land along the road along the slope overflows onto the highway surface, causing stagnation on the North - South road. The drainage ditch along the road is also full, unable to drain in time.

The above situation did not ensure safety for vehicles to travel at high speeds, so the Traffic Police force of the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) temporarily closed the North-South road at Ma Lam intersection, regulating vehicles to exit the highway.

The road management unit quickly placed warning signs, mobilized workers and machinery to clear the flow. Excavators were dispatched to clear the mud from the side of the road, dumped on dump trucks to quickly drain the water.

A resident living near the scene said that since the afternoon of November 1, there has been heavy rain in this area. Then the above situation occurred.

Previously, on the evening of September 2, there was also a situation where sand and dirt spilled onto the highway and stagnant rainwater. It is known that rainwater flooded down from the elevated land of a household - once a mineral exploitation site.

After that, the local government coordinated with units to fix this land. However, the above situation has occurred again.
