The Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor said that key activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam such as organizing the "Dignation of civil servants, public employees, and workers" Contest in Kien Giang province create a healthy beauty playground for female union members.
Organizing the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and the Month of Action on occupational safety and Health in 2025, 15 "Union Shelters" were presented to union members with housing difficulties, with an amount of 750 million VND; presented 195 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances; supported 660 gifts to district and city labor federations, industry unions and grassroots unions under the Provincial Labor Federation to promptly visit and give gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances (worth 1 million VND/gift).
Organized field trips to visit and give 105 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances in boarding houses in Rach Gia City with an amount of 105 million VND. Coordinated with the Red Cross Society at all levels to organize voluntary blood donation to collect 916 units of blood.
Pay attention to negotiating and signing collective labor agreements in enterprises, focusing on practical commitments that are beneficial to employees such as: reduction in working hours for heavy and toxic work; increase the frequency and quality of meals between shifts to ensure nutrition, housing support, productivity bonuses, sightseeing regimes...
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" and the program "Union Tet Market". The program presented 7,400 gifts to union members and workers and supported 32 "Union Shelters" for union members with difficult housing circumstances, with an amount of 6.1 billion VND.
Coordinate with 20 units and enterprises to organize 20 booths selling quality products and goods at preferential prices from 5% to 49%, with a total value of goods of about 1.5 billion VND, saving union members and employees over 300 million VND. Coordinate with the General Confederation Committees to guide and support 2,500 union members and employees to buy gifts on the online software "Union Tet Market", with a total value of 1.25 billion VND.
Trade unions at all levels have coordinated with authorities, localities, and enterprises to organize activities to care for union members and employees during Tet. As a result, nearly 10,260 union members and employees have benefited from the Tet care activities of the Trade Union organization with an amount of over 5.1 billion VND.
Continue to mobilize union members to contribute to the "Union Society" fund. 50 new houses have been repaired and 10 "Union Shelters" have been repaired for union members with housing difficulties, with a total amount of 2 billion 750 million VND. Contributing un interest-free revolving capital, signing bank loans, and charity kitchen activities have been of interest to Party committees, authorities, and unions, with 44,198 union members receiving loans and participating in interest-free revolving capital with an amount of over 20.6 billion VND.
Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Truong Thanh Thuy said that the task of the unit in the last 6 months of the year is to complete the Personnel Project of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (new) to submit to the General Confederation for approval; assign the task of full-time cadres of the Provincial Trade Union according to the Project of the Provincial Party Committee; rearrange emulation clusters under the Provincial Federation of Labor; assign cadres to monitor and guide the content of activities in accordance with the new situation.
Direct grassroots trade unions to improve the quantity and quality of collective labor agreements, strive for amended, supplemented, and newly signed collective labor agreements with more benefits than those prescribed by law. Strengthen legal consultancy; propaganda work on implementing democratic regulations in agencies, units and enterprises.
Deploy the arrangement and handling of headquarters and real estate facilities when implementing the arrangement of administrative units at all levels according to the policy of the General Confederation; organize the work of collecting union finances well; strictly manage spending and savings, focus resources, and effectively serve the activities of the Trade Union.
