Share blood for the community
As one of the active participants in the voluntary blood donation movement, Ms. Le Thi Huyen (a member of the Trade Union of Chung Jye Ninh Binh Shoe Manufacturing Co., Ltd.) shared that, with the spirit of "loving others as you love yourself" and the concept of "a drop of blood given, a life left behind", in recent years, whenever she had the conditions, Ms. Huyen participated in voluntary blood donation.
Since 2010, she has donated blood 28 times. This noble act has been spread by her to union members and employees in the company, and has been widely participated by everyone.
“I realize that donating blood is not only about giving blood to save people, but instead, I also find joy and comfort when I do something good for the community. That makes me more enthusiastic and feel more responsible for the voluntary blood donation movement,” Ms. Huyen shared.
Born in 1989, but Mr. Pham Huu Hoan, (currently a worker at Hyundai Thanh Cong Automobile Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, in Gian Khau Industrial Park, Ninh Binh), has donated blood 21 times to save lives.
“Every year I donate blood once or twice. Whenever I have the chance, I register to donate blood voluntarily and as long as my health allows, I will continue to do so,” Hoan shared.
Noble human values
Up to now, the voluntary blood donation movement among union members and workers in Ninh Binh province has spread strongly in all units and enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong - Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that the blood donation activities of union members and workers in Ninh Binh province in recent years have had a profound impact, demonstrating their responsibility to the community. Donating blood to save lives is a noble and humane act, in line with the traditional morality of the Vietnamese people. The Party and State always pay attention to creating favorable conditions for this work to develop further.
In the coming time, the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor hopes that union members and workers will continue to promote the spirit of humanity, the fine traditions of the nation, and share their blood for the community.
Mr. Bui Trong Ky - Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Red Cross Society - said that the donated drops of blood have contributed to bringing faith and hope to the sick. Demonstrating the tradition of mutual love and support, creating a strong influence in the community.
In order to promptly recognize and encourage organizations and individuals to actively participate in the movement, the Ninh Binh Provincial Red Cross Association has coordinated with units to organize a program to honor “Silent role models for the sick”, rewarding nearly 200 outstanding volunteers. Thereby, connecting love between people in society.
"Among the group of volunteers participating in blood donation, union members and workers in industrial parks and clusters always account for a large proportion and play a key role," said Mr. Ky.
