The blood donation festival "Red Drops of Love" was organized by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation in coordination with the city's Red Cross Association. The festival attracted more than 500 union members and employees to register to donate blood.
Excited to be present at the festival, Mr. Nguyen Danh Bau - a union member of Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company (under the Hai Phong Construction Industry Union) said: "This is the 22nd time I have participated in voluntary blood donation. My colleagues and I participating in blood donation today are very happy to contribute to ensuring blood supply to save patients' lives."
Mr. Doan Xuan Quy - a member of Hai Phong International General Hospital also donated blood at the festival. Mr. Quy said that working at the hospital every day, he understands better than anyone the importance of donating blood for the treatment of patients. Therefore, he hopes that his work will spread a noble gesture for the community.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice President of Hai Phong City Labor Federation, in 2024, the Labor Federation organized 7 blood donation campaigns with the participation of more than 2,000 registered employees, collecting more than 1,400 units of blood. The Labor Federation hopes that the program will continue to spread strongly among employees, contributing positively to ensuring the source of blood for emergency treatment at medical facilities in the city and the whole country.
