On the afternoon of August 22, at the third Conference of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Bank Union, term VIII, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union - presented a report on the results of implementing "Month of listening to union members and workers speak" in the Vietnam Bank Union system in 2026.
According to the report, 799/870 grassroots trade unions organized activities in response to the program, reaching 91.84% of the plan. For trade unions that have not organized activities, the Vietnam Bank Union requested to base on the actual situation to continue to implement the listening to union members and employees at the unit.
The forms of implementation are quite diverse such as integration at conferences of civil servants and employees; periodic dialogues; direct dialogue combined with online; receiving opinions through digital systems, email boxes, online survey forms and information technology platforms.
Through summarizing from units, trade union levels have received 2,821 opinions, recommendations, and proposals. Of which, 2,793 opinions and recommendations related to expertise, employers and trade union organizations at the grassroots level; 5 opinions, recommendations, and proposals for the Vietnam Bank Union and 23 opinions for the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
One of the content groups that union members and workers are interested in is employment, income, salary and bonuses.
Regarding the arrangement of job positions, some opinions suggested arranging and using labor in accordance with capacity, qualifications, experience and job positions; ensuring publicity and transparency, limiting adverse impacts on the psychology, life and legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
Regarding salaries, income, and bonuses, union members proposed to continue to improve the mechanism in a direction suitable to the job position, contribution level, productivity and work efficiency; ensuring proportionality between responsibility, workload and income.
Workers also proposed reducing administrative, manual, and duplication jobs through the application of information technology, automation, and process digitization; reviewing unnecessary intermediate stages, limiting the need to enter data many times or perform it simultaneously on multiple systems.
The report also recorded opinions related to work pressure and occupational health. Union members proposed increasing solutions to prevent pressure and stress; arranging appropriate working and resting hours; paying attention to physical and mental health and building a united, respectful, and mutually supportive working environment.

Regarding trade union activities, union members proposed that care and welfare programs continue to focus on practical needs such as health care, support for union members in difficult circumstances, preferential programs, cultural and sports activities, and improving spiritual life.
After receiving it, trade union levels coordinated with Party committees, professional leaders and employers to review and classify groups of opinions according to their authority.
As a result, 2,744 opinions and recommendations were resolved immediately. These are the contents that the leadership, professional departments, and trade union organizations directly answered, answered, or proposed specific handling plans; some proposals were agreed upon by experts right at the conference.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Mr. Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union - emphasized that banking industry trade union levels always listen, understand and accompany employees.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Union also wished that leaders at all levels in the industry would continue to listen, be receptive and accompany workers, creating the best conditions for workers not only in work, material life but also spiritual life.
