Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union encourages staff to overcome the consequences of storm No. 5 in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa

In the face of serious damage to the power grid in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces caused by storm No. 5 (Kajiki), Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union - directly visited the scene in some areas heavily affected by Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces to promptly visit, encourage and share difficulties with electricity industry staff who are working day and night to fix the power grid problem, ensuring power supply is restored to serve the people.

The working group directly visited, presented gifts and encouraged the staff of the Vinh Area Management Team, the Hung Nguyen Area Power Grid Management Team and 2 shock units of Lao Cai Power Company and Hung Yen Power Company that are supporting Nghe An province. In Thanh Hoa province, the working group visited the Quang Xuong and Hac Thanh Power Management Teams (Thanh Hoa Power Company), who are working urgently outside the scene to quickly overcome the damage caused by storm No. 5.

On behalf of the working group, Mr. Do Duc Hung acknowledged and praised the spirit of urgency, responsibility and not being afraid of hardship of the staff of Nghe An Power Company, Thanh Hoa Power Company and the units of the shock team with more than 220 staff from Hai Phong Power Company, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Lai Chau, Son La, Hung Yen... supporting Nghe An Power Company to fix the power grid after the storm.

In the harsh weather, many engineers and workers of the Power Company stayed up all night, staying at the scene, fixing hundreds of transformer stations that had problems, many medium and low-voltage power lines were broken, ensuring the progress of restoring electricity for people's daily life.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union also sent his warmest condolences to the officers and employees in difficult circumstances and their families affected by storms and floods. At the same time, on behalf of the leaders of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, Mr. Do Duc Hung presented gifts to encourage the construction teams directly on the site and presented the Trade Unions of Nghe An Electricity Company and Thanh Hoa Electricity Company with 100 million VND each for the unit to visit and support the affiliated Trade Union teams affected; visited the shock forces participating in overcoming the incident after storm No. 5 (kajiki), affirming that the Trade Union will always be a spiritual support, accompanying workers in all circumstances.

At locations where the power grid is being restored, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Do Duc Hung requested units to continue promoting the spirit of "fast - safe - effective", closely coordinating with local authorities to ensure that the power restoration work is properly implemented, while ensuring absolute safety for construction forces in weather conditions with many potential risks.

The timely visit and encouragement of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union not only motivates electricity workers in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa but also demonstrates the deep concern of the Trade Union organization in accompanying union members and workers to overcome natural disasters and successfully complete assigned tasks.
