On the evening of January 28, a working delegation of Tien Giang province led by Mr. Nguyen Van Danh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - visited and wished a happy new year to the working force on New Year's Eve of the Year of the Snake 2025. Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu - Vice Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial Labor Federation, Ms. Le Thi Be Phuong - Vice Chairman of My Tho City People's Committee.
Mr. Le Minh Hung - Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - said that Tet is a time for family reunion. However, there are union members and workers who, due to the nature of their work, still have to work through Tet. For them, completing their assigned tasks well is also a joyful and meaningful Tet. Every year, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor organizes delegations to visit and wish these forces a happy new year.
“On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor presented 500 gifts (each gift is 500,000 VND in cash) to union members and workers on duty on New Year's Eve at the above units. In addition, they inquired about the organization of on-duty work during the Lunar New Year 2025. At the same time, they sent New Year wishes to the units and all forces working on New Year's Eve,” said Mr. Hung.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thai - Emergency resuscitation doctor at Tien Giang General Hospital - said that this year is the second year he has performed emergency care and treatment for patients during Tet.
“This is a special department, the on-duty team has to work continuously to take care of patients. For us, ensuring health, helping patients recover quickly, and return home to their loved ones is a very meaningful Tet gift,” Dr. Thai shared.
Similarly, specialist doctor Nguyen Thi Kim Thu - Department of Emergency Resuscitation, Tien Giang General Hospital - said that this is the 9th year she has performed emergency duties during Tet. During Tet, the work of doctors and nurses is often busier. The reason is that Tet is also the time when many diseases increase such as digestive disorders, traffic accidents, etc.
“In spring, doctors and nurses must always be highly focused, not be negligent, and be ready to provide emergency care and treatment for patients 24/7,” Ms. Thu shared.
