Leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour work with the Egyptian Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union

On the afternoon of July 15, a working session took place between leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the delegation of the Egyptian Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union.

Receiving and working with the delegation of the Egyptian Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union was Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL).

The delegation of the Egyptian Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union led by Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdelhalim, Chairman of the Egyptian Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Vice President of the VGCL - welcomed Mr. Molemed Ahmed Abdelhalim and delegates who visited and worked with the VGCL.

The Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour summarized 97 years of formation and development of the Vietnam Trade Union.

At the same time, sharing the main tasks currently that the Vietnam Trade Union is focusing on implementing according to the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress: Taking care of the welfare of union members; promoting dialogue and collective bargaining; strengthening occupational safety and health and improving the working environment of workers; actively participating in building policies and laws to have a better legal system for workers; actively participating in the Wage Council to negotiate regional minimum wages...

In the field of foreign affairs, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that the Vietnam Trade Union continues to expand cooperation with trade unions of countries with traditional relations, including the Egyptian Trade Union; actively participate in global industry trade unions...

The VGCL highly values the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Trade Union (TKV), because this is an industry trade union with many union members and workers.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdelhalim, Chairman of the Egyptian Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union, gave a general overview of the Egyptian Trade Union and the Egyptian Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union.

In which, workers and workers of the Egyptian mining and mineral industry enjoy a number of special benefits. The Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union also has skills training centers for workers and workers of the mining industry...

In the future, we aim to increase relations with international trade unions, such as the region of Africa, Asia related to the mining industry. And the three highest priority countries are Russia, Vietnam and Indonesia" - Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdelhalim said, while wishing the VGCL to continue to create conditions for the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Trade Union to strengthen coordination with the Egyptian Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union in the coming time.

At the working session, the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour emphasized that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour will continue to create the best conditions for the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Trade Union to strengthen relations to become increasingly in-depth and cooperate more effectively with the Egyptian Mining, Stone and Salt Mining Trade Union.

On this occasion, the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour conveyed the greetings of the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan to the Chairman of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation; and wished the delegation with a working visit to Vietnam to achieve many results and good successes.
