On January 10, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited, presented gifts and wished Happy New Year to Vietnamese Heroic Mother (VNAH) Nguyen Thi Thanh, in La Thap Dong village, Duy Hoa commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province.
Thanh's mother is 96 years old this year. Her husband and two children died in the resistance war against the US to save the country. When her husband passed away, Thanh's mother raised the remaining 7 children alone. She has been taken care of by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for many years.
During the visit, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan was happy and excited when the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers received attention and encouragement from the authorities and people of Quang Nam. The union members who are children of martyrs were given favorable working conditions by agencies and businesses to have a stable life.
On this occasion, the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor kindly asked about the health of Mother Thanh, expressed their emotion at the sacrifices and losses that Mother Thanh had endured. At the same time, they presented Mother Heroic Vietnamese Hero Nguyen Thi Thanh with 20 million VND in support money, a Tet gift from the VGCL and a gift from the Quang Nam Provincial Labor Federation, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan also wished the Heroic Mother of Vietnam good health, a happy Tet with her children and grandchildren, and to be a living example for generations of cadres, union members, and employees to follow.
Through the activities of visiting and wishing Vietnamese Heroic Mothers a Happy New Year, the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hope to continue promoting the movement of "Repaying gratitude", increasing activities of visiting, showing gratitude, and taking care of families with meritorious services to the revolution. Thereby, strengthening and fostering the trust of union members and workers in the Trade Union organization.
