The program took place on January 4 and 5, 2025, organized by the Central Regional Office - Voice of Vietnam (VOV Central) with the participation of the Military Region 5 Command; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province; Da Nang City Young Doctors Association; Da Nang Hospital; Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks and many other accompanying units.
The cooperation of charitable organizations and businesses such as Thien Tam Fund, Tam Ky City Association in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang Port, Agribank Central Region Office, Duy Tan University, Sunglass Company, and other construction companies have made important contributions to this program.
The program also included more than 70 doctors and nurses from major hospitals in Da Nang city such as Da Nang Hospital, Oncology Hospital, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Lung Hospital, Military Hospital 17, Hospital C... Da Nang Hospital and the Da Nang City Young Doctors Association sent good and experienced doctors and nurses, bringing along many basic medical machines and equipment. The Military Region 5 Command also supported 800 medicine bases, contributing to ensuring effective medical examination and treatment.
At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 1,300 Tet gifts, worth 600,000 VND/gift, to disadvantaged people in Bac Tra My, Phu Ninh districts and Tam Ky city.
800 disadvantaged people in Bac Tra My and Phu Ninh districts were also examined and given free medicine by a team of leading doctors from Da Nang city. The program also conducted cardiovascular screening for 1,000 preschool and primary school children in the two districts, a meaningful activity towards a healthy future for the younger generation.
The highlight of the program is the donation of 5 charity houses to 5 households in especially difficult circumstances in Tam Ky city, with a support level of 70 million VND per house.
The total value of Tet gifts and activities in the program is up to about 1.7 billion VND, demonstrating the community's deep concern for those living in difficult circumstances.
With this series of meaningful activities, VOV Central and its partners hope to bring the poor a warm, healthy and loving Tet, contributing to spreading the spirit of mutual love in the community.
Previously, during the 2024 Lunar New Year, VOV Central also coordinated to organize charity activities in Quang Ngai and Quang Nam, with a total support value of more than 1 billion VND.
