2024 is a year of special significance for the Vietnam Trade Union, the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the year of celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, and the year the Trade Union Law (amended) was passed by the National Assembly.
Promoting the glorious tradition of the Trade Union organization and the Vietnamese working class, trade unions at all levels and union members, workers nationwide have united, made efforts, been creative, and strived to compete in labor production; focused on propaganda, building programs and action plans to bring the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union into life, completing 10 groups of major targets and tasks, contributing with the whole country to carry out the task of socio-economic development in 2024 with many positive marks.
The Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has determined the theme for 2025 as "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party" with 12 groups of tasks and targets to be achieved.
In particular, the key task is to thoroughly grasp and implement the Trade Union Law (amended), the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union and the Guidelines for implementing the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union (term XIII).
Continue to effectively implement Resolution 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation" focusing on the work of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights and interests of workers associated with the task of innovating and arranging the organization of trade union apparatus at all levels to be streamlined and operate effectively.
Actively participate in Party building, building a clean and strong political system, especially implementing specific and practical activities to welcome Party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress; organizing activities in response to major national anniversaries.
The entire system promotes emulation movements with the spirit of "Determination to innovate, actively create, improve labor productivity, work efficiency, save, fight waste, welcome party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, Patriotic Emulation Congresses at all levels, and the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress".
The Lunar New Year of At Ty is approaching, the first priority task of trade unions at all levels is to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and employees, the situation of labor relations, production and business results, the implementation of the employer's regime and policies towards employees in order to promptly negotiate and supervise the implementation, especially the salary and bonus regime for employees during Tet.
At the same time, deploy activities to take care of Tet, organize Tet Sum Vay for union members and workers with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet".
Welcoming the new year 2025 - Spring of At Ty, facing new requirements entering the era of national development, I call on cadres, union members, and workers nationwide to unite, uphold the spirit of responsibility, promote the will of self-reliance, self-strengthening, determination to overcome all difficulties and challenges, strive to compete with the highest determination, strive to excellently complete assigned tasks, contribute to building a modern and strong working class; build a strong, confident, and proud Trade Union organization with the nation to enter a new stage of development of the country.
