Many job positions require Chinese
At the end of February 2026, at VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park (Hung Nguyen commune), the Management Board of Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone coordinated with units to organize the first job fair in 2026, attracting 20 businesses to participate with more than 70,000 recruitment positions.
At the event, the recruitment booth of many FDI enterprises attracted a large number of workers to learn about information and submit applications. Many businesses arranged for a team of Chinese managers to directly participate in recruiting and interviewing candidates right at the event.
A business in an industrial park recruits employees to calculate product costs with the requirement to use Chinese, 4 skills of listening - speaking - reading - writing. Some positions such as assistant director, production team leader, technical staff or office staff also need a certain level of Chinese.
Not only management positions, many businesses said that workers holding team leaders, line leaders or technicians also need basic Chinese communication skills.
Workers actively learn foreign languages
According to research, the income level at Chinese FDI enterprises in Nghe An industrial parks is currently relatively competitive. Average workers working in factories can reach a salary of about 12 - 15 million VND/month. Assistant positions, office workers with foreign language skills can reach about 20 million VND/month. For technical, management or highly specialized and capable positions, the income level can be up to about 30 million VND/month.
Not only workers, many businesses also proactively organize foreign language training classes for workers.
Everwin Precision Technology Co., Ltd. (Vietnam) in VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park has opened many free Chinese classes for workers since its establishment.
According to a business representative, the company currently has more than 2,000 employees, of which about 350 are officials and workers from China coming to work. About 20% of Vietnamese workers holding positions such as team leaders, line leaders or technical staff need to know Chinese to facilitate work exchange.
Chinese language training helps workers understand job requirements, better coordinate with experts and improve labor productivity" - a business representative said.
Not only training domestically, this enterprise also sends personnel to China for advanced training. In 2025, the company sent 32 workers to China to study, and after returning, they will take on technical and management positions in the factory.
The rapid development of industrial parks, especially the increase of FDI enterprises, is causing the labor market in Nghe An to change significantly. Besides skills, many workers are starting to realize that foreign languages, especially Chinese, are becoming the key to helping them access better job opportunities right at home.
