72% of workers are ready to find new job opportunities in 2025

The newly released 2025 recruitment trend report by Adecco Vietnam shows that up to 72% of surveyed workers are ready to find new opportunities in 2025, a sharp increase compared to 69% in 2024 and 37% in 2023. The most popular job search channels chosen by workers this year are: Recruiting companies (77%), LinkedIn - a social network sharing recruitment experiences (66%), introducing from acquaintances (60%).

The factors that attract and retain human resources are still: salary, bonus, benefits, development opportunities, working environment and work-life balance. In particular, the factor of diversity, equality and integration (DE&I) is increasingly being focused on by businesses, especially multinational corporations. This trend is gradually spreading in Vietnam, meeting the increasing demand of workers for a fair and diverse working environment.

Mr. Le Quang Trung - former Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Employment - said that the fact that up to 72% of workers are willing to seek new opportunities in 2025 shows that workers always want to work in a good environment, suitable work, increase income, improve qualifications and develop themselves, expand relationships... In which, work and income are the top and most important factors.

Mr. Trung said that the current labor market is very dynamic, there are many changes in the digital age, many new and attractive jobs have appeared and many jobs will no longer exist. Even in a job position, there are rapid changes due to the impact of AI and the application of new technology techniques.

"Workers have a new awareness of work and they are very dynamic and flexible. Many people change jobs to find more suitable jobs, whether in other types of businesses or creating jobs themselves as long as they are effective. The enterprise has had solutions to attract and promote the capacity of employees, paying more attention to employees, especially salary - income policies and social security. The labor market information system has created good conditions for workers and employers to access and use it, the activities of the employment service center system have actively supported the labor market...", said Mr. Le Quang Trung.
