On January 3rd, Ms. Nguyen Van Hanh Thuc - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center - said that, based on age, the workforce looking for jobs in 2025 includes three age classes.
Among them, the 18--35 age group has 95,273 people (49.68%), who are pillars of positions requiring flexibility, high intensity, suitable for e-commerce, logistics, food and beverage, production lines and customer care industries.
The group of 36-45 years old has 57,382 people (29.92%), rich in experience, suitable for technical, supervision, team leader, administrative - operational nghiep vu positions.
The group over 45 years old has 39,135 people (20.41%), prone to risks due to increased digital skills requirements, but if they are advised to change direction reasonably (community services, security, simple technical support, social care), they are still a stable and experienced working class.
This structure helps the market have "resilience", but also requires designing career paths, skill levels according to age to both utilize young people, and retain middle-aged groups and support vocational reintegration for older groups.
